RACE at Wellington Racing Club proudly donated to The Neonatal Trust (Wellington) following the resurrection of their Annual Golf Day preceding The Wellfield New Zealand Oaks race meeting in March.

The golf component of the day concluded with a charity auction with racing celebrity Des Coppins on the microphone. Some of the items kindly donated to the auction included a Fujitsu heatpump, advertising with The Radio Network, a golf getaway to the Lakes International Course and a once in a lifetime Weta Workshop Experience.
The Trentham Camp Golf Club generously donated their facilities for the Charity Golf Day which will also be the venue for the 2011 event.

Birth of the partnership between the Wellington Racing Club and The Neonatal Trust (Wellington) came from a meeting with Michael Meads, Treasurer of the Trust, where his fervour for the cause translated into a strong desire for the Club to become involved. "This is our chance to help towards the Trust achieving their objectives" said Chief Executive of RACE, Matt Reid "The Charity Golf Day was just the start of our partnership. We're working with the Trust on some very exciting ventures at the moment — watch this space!".
